ReadingZone Festival 2020 line-up

29th Jan 20

Next month ReadingZone will be visiting schools across Surrey for this year's ReadingZone Festival, with a fantastic line-up of author events!

During a week of free school events, authors will help to encourage some 4,000 children to read for pleasure and write creatively.

Headlining our schools' programme in February are:

PG Bell, with a major event for primary schools, when he will talk about his Train to Impossible Places (Usborne Books) series

VASHTI HARDY whose new book, Darkwhispers, from her award-winning Brightstorm series, will be published next month by Scholastic, and who will visit secondary and primary schools

ROSS MACKENZIE who is travelling from Scotland to visit a number of primary schools, talking about his stunning new book, Evernight (Andersen Press)

TOM HUDDLESTON, who will introduce his gripping Floodworld at large secondary school events, and introducing students to the sequel, Dustroad, which is published by Nosy Crow in February

SUE CHEUNG, who will visit a number of secondary schools to introduce her acclaimed debut, Chinglish (Andersen Press)

We also look forward to running Create a Comic workshops with GARY NORTHFIELD (Julius Zebra) in October, as we extend the ReadingZone Festival events further through the year.

We would like to thank our sponsors, including TWM Solicitors and Mole Valley District Council, for supporting the festival and ongoing author events.
