Independent booksellers have awarded The Girl Who Speaks Bear by Sophie Anderson (Usborne) the Children's Fiction award for the Books are My Bag award. Don't Worry, Little Crab by Chris Haughton (Walker Books) won the Picture Book category.

Carnegie & Greenaway winners announced

Anthony McGowan has won the Carnegie Medal for Lark (Barrington Stoke) while the Kate Greenaway Medal has gone to Shaun Tan for Tales from the Inner City (Walker Books), which he wrote and illustrated.
